Square Piano by William Stodart N° 4329, London c.1815
Recently restored in our workshops, a fine square piano by William Stodart. The casework is in mahogany with a black line inlay, with two drawers and standing on six turned legs. This instrument has 5 ½ octaves (FF-c4) with a double action, mopstick dampers and a pedal operated sustain.
Case dimensions: 64 ¾ × 24 ½ × 9 ½″
Nameboard inscription reads: "Wm. Stodart, ⁄ Maker to Their Majesties ⁄ The Royal Family ⁄ Golden Square ⁄ London".
This instrument is tuned to A=415.
This instrument is available to play and inspect.
