The Music Room Workshop is a family business run by Andrew Durand who has thirty years experience of making and repairing Early Keyboard Instruments. After leaving school in 1973 he joined Arnold Dolmetsch Ltd. where he served a four year apprenticeship in Musical Instrument and Cabinet making. When the company closed in 1981 Andrew set about establishing his own workshop, and after twenty-three years and several moves now occupies a unit at Prestwick Farm in Chiddingfold, Surrey. His son Robert has also joined the business, being the fifth generation Durand involved with woodwork/musical instruments.
