4½ octave Spinet

Recently completed is this 8' pitch Spinet with a compass of 4½ octaves, 53 notes CC-f² (exc. CC#). The case and lid are veneered in European Walnut and banded with Teak outside a Sycamore line. The bottom edge of the case has a moulding of Bog Oak and the instrument sits on an Oak trestle stand. The Cherry jacks have Holly tongues with Delrin plectra. The natural keys are faced with Laburnum and the accidentals are Cherry capped with Boxwood. A Harp Stop is engaged by a lever fitted through the front board.
Case dimensions: 42 ½ × 24 × 6 ½″. Overall height: 31 7/8″.
This instrument is tuned to A=440.

This Spinet, whilst small and easy to accommodate and transport, has surprising volume and projection.
