Square Piano by George Garcka, London 1778

An early square piano by Garcka, this instrument has an extremely decorative case in figured mahogany with rosewood crossbanding, satinwood banding and inlayed lines. The lid has a satinwood interior. The nameboard, with marquetry leaves and flowers, bears the inscription "Georgius Garcka Londini Fecit 1778".
