Spinet by Arnold Dolmetsch N°793, Haslemere c.1962

This fine small spinet by Arnold Dolmetsch, N°793, made in Haslemere was sold from our workshops in summer 2020. This spinet has a compass of 4 ½ octaves (C,D - f³) with a buff stop. The case is veneered in walnut and sits on four tapering octagonal legs. The keyboard has boxwood naturals and ebony sharps, the soundboard is in spruce decorated with blue painted border. The jacks are in plastic with leather plectra.

This instrument comes with the original canvas carrying case.

This spinet is tuned to a¹=440.
Dimensions: 1170 × 510mm (46 × 20″) approx.
Overall height: 775mm ( 30½″).

This instrument has been fully serviced in our workshops, including restringing and replacement leather plectra, and is available to play and inspect by appointment.
