Octavina by Arnold Dolmetsch, 1928

We are pleased to offer for sale this lovely octavina by Arnold Dolmetsch dated 1928. This octavina has a compass of 4 octaves (c - c4). The case in walnut with brass strap hinges and gilded mouldings. The keyboard has boxwood naturals & keyfronts and ebony sharps, the soundboard is in spruce decorated with a blue painted border, the bridge and nut in beech. The jacks are wooden with leather plectra.

This spinet is tuned to a¹=440.
Dimensions: 890 × 460mm (35 × 18″) approx.

Please note that this instrument is designed to sit on a desk or table, there is no stand.

This instrument has been fully serviced in our workshops, including restringing and replacement leather plectra, and is available to play and inspect by appointment.
