Square Piano by Charles Dierkes, London c.1815

Dierkes was active as an instrument maker for only a short while between 1810 and 1825. This square piano has 5 ½ octaves; Mahogany casework banded with rosewood; front corners rounded and inlaid with ebony cartouches; brass moulding above the frieze at the lower edge of the case; four turned and reeded legs with brass collars.
