Square Piano by Clementi & Comp., N° 13741, London c.1815-20
This instrument has 5 ½ octaves (FF-c4) with a double action with mopstick dampers. There are 2 pedals operating a sustain and Muzio Clementi's patented 'Bridge of Reverberation'. The case is in mahogany with rosewood crossbanding and an inlaid line, with round corners to the case with inlaid pattern. There is brass inlay on the cheeks and nameboard in the keywell. The instrument stands on 6 turned legs with brass collars.
This piano was taken by us in part exchange, and has been restored some time in its recent history, although not by us. We have carried out some minor restoration and tuned and regulated the instrument.
Case dimensions: 65 9⁄16 × 24 5⁄8 × 9 5⁄16″ (exc. lid). Overall height: 33″.
This instrument is tuned to A=440.
