Square Piano by John Broadwood and Son, N° 10330, London 1807
This elegant square piano by John Broadwood and Son has 5 ½ octaves (FF-c4) with a double action, mopstick dampers and a pedal operated sustain. The case is in mahogany with satinwood cross-banding, line inlays and brass mouldings. The instrument stands on 6 turned and reeded legs with brass collars. The original cream painted dustcover is still present.
Case dimensions: 24 ½ × 65 × 9 ½" Overall height: 32 ¼" Tuned to A=415.
Nameboard inscription reads: "John Broadwood and Son ⁄ Makers to His Majesty & the Princesses ⁄ Great Pulteney Street, Golden Square ⁄ London 1807".
This instrument has been fully restored in our workshops and is available to play and inspect by appointment.
